Catfish Haven!

Down home southern food tickle your fancy?
Like some catfish, pulled pork bbq, homemade cornbread and collard greens?
Spend your next lunch at the Catfish Haven!
This small, family run restaurant is conveniently located just outside the Boniface / Elmendorf AFB gate at 360 Boniface Parkway, suite #22.

The menu is simple and the price is right!
On today's visit we sampled the catfish, shrimp, pulled pork bbq, red beans and rice, fries and the homemade corn bread.
I have to say everything was extremely tasty! The fish was fresh tasting with a crunchy cornmeal batter. The fries were perfectly cooked and salted. Real red beans & rice along with a warm fresh baked corn muffin were to die for! And the pulled (shredded) pork BBQ sandwich had exactly the right amount of bbq sauce and no freaky coleslaw. Just meat and bun.
We also got to savor the homemade tartar sauce which was just like we make at home only better! The cook/owner was kind enough to share her recipe with us as well.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention the mountainous glasses of real southern sweet tea, that you can get free refills with.
Service was quick, friendly and very fast. They made even the more northern of northerners feel welcome and right at home. All the food arrived at our table piping hot and very quick!

They also serve a shredded beef bbq sandwich and all the traditional soul food sides!

I highly recommend Catfish Haven!!
